One Day in St Andrews

Finally blogging about my adventure in St Andrews. It is a small town located in Scotland. ( It is also where Prince William studied for his degree.) Went there to visit Ben. It was a long 4 hours train journey involving changing of trains in Edinburgh Waverley. There is no direct train to St Andrews so if you are planning to get to St Andrews, get tickets to Leuchars and take the bus (99, 99A, 99B, 99C, 99D) to St Andrews.

In love with this quaint little town. Everything is so beautiful here despite the strong wind and the low temperature. But Ben thinks St Andrews is pretty boring. I guess if I spend too much time here, I will get bored too. It's a really small tone and everything are within walking distance.

Had breakfast at this place recommended by Ben. Apparently, it is famous for its scones. Besides scones, we also had their breakfast roll. Ben had the one with black pudding while I had bacon. It was so filling that we could hardly finish our scones but the scones were quite good.

After breakfast, we left to explore St Andrews. Went to a beach which is located next to a golf course. I think it is called West Sands Beach. It was end of October so the wind was quite strong and cold. Somehow St Andrews's beaches are all covered with kelp.

After that, we went walking around St Andrews with my tour guide leading the way.

As we were still full from our breakfast, we decided to skip lunch and go for ice cream. Apparently this place is famous for its ice cream. Couldn't remember what flavour I picked but it was good.

The wind was so strong that 99% of the time I was trying to fix my hair.

Sitting on the swing while eating this in a park/playground. Not sure what is it called but Ben said it is a must eat in St Andrews. I thought it was a bit too sweet but nevertheless give it a try!

At Lade Braes Walk.

A selfie of both of us by the beach. Hair all around as usual.
We then head home and had really good home cooked dinner. Day well spent. :)
